Talk About "Unit Cohesion"

September 20, 2007 § 12 Comments

Those wacky Aussies are giving female soldiers breast implants to increase their self esteem. Be all that you can be, ladies.

You can’t make this stuff up.

UPDATE: Jeff Miller points out in the comments that US forces are with the program too. Not only that, but in one case the life of a female Israeli soldier injured in a Hezbollah attack was saved by her implants.

So what I want to know is, why aren’t military issue breast implants made from Kevlar?

Well, as you said before, Zippy, ‘Real life, better than any parody.’

  • Jeff Miller says:

“The Australian military yesterday defended its decision to pay for some female sailors to have breast implants, saying the operations were not carried out for cosmetic reasons.”I guess they are confirming that it was for self esteem reasons.Unfortunately this is already going on in our military here in the states, plastic surgery such as face-lifts, nose jobs, breast enlargements, liposuction are already being offered in military hospitals for active duty personel and in a three year period 5000 breast implants were done – though they have to supply their own implants.Though there was the case of the Israeli soldier whose life was saved by hers.

Well that is worth an update to the main post.

  • TS says:

New name for the Aussie military: <>silicone valley<>.

  • William Luse says:

<>why aren’t military issue breast implants made from Kevlar?<>1. For the same reason that the men they fornicate with don’t like condoms – they reduce sensation. 2. For the reason that the American male soldier doesn’t like a woman who keeps a stiff upper tit, especially during sex. It would be unpatriotic.4. It’s less intrusive to make a <>bra<> from Kevlar.5. Kevlar weighs more than silicone. You can calculate the long term consequences. This issue is certainly swollen with difficulties that threaten to spill out of their normal confines, but you’ve hardly touched the tip.

  • Rodak says:

ts–I would’ve said that the self-esteem and high morale promoted among Aussie female soldiers by their enhanced bosoms is designed to result in *silicone valor*.

We’ll definitely have to stay abreast of the situation.

  • Civis says:

I guess you guys are going to milk this for all it’s worth.

  • William Luse says:

Yes, someone should probably nip it in the bud, although it may be a little late for that.

  • Rodak says:

There will be no shrimps on those Aussie Barbies.

  • TS says:

<>“A spokesman said figures would not be available until next week.” <>Pending surgery I assume!
